About Amy
Amy is a board-certified addictions registered nurse, board-certified Integrative Nurse Coach, Certified Life Coach, and Certified Somatic Practitioner with 25 years of experience in mental health and trauma. Her background includes more than 15 years in the child welfare system working with families and professionals, and two years on a national addiction research project.
Amy also brings lived experience with overdrinking, disordered eating, and rebuilding her own life. This combination informs how she coaches: with respect for what people have experienced, an understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and physical responses influence everyday choices, and practical support for the relationships, decisions, and goals that matter to them.
Experience & Qualifications
With a comprehensive clinical background in psychiatric medicine and over two decades in community-based mental health advocacy, Amy integrates trauma-informed care with practical strategic planning to help clients navigate complex recovery transitions.
A Different Approach to Coaching
Amy brings the understanding of a psychiatric and addictions nurse, the curiosity of a coach, and a willingness to ask questions that help people think differently. Her approach includes warmth, honest conversations, practical tools, and some laughter, with support for both big decisions and everyday follow-through.
